Youth Basketball
Welcome to the Littleton Parks and Recreation youth basketball programs page!
Please read the information below regarding the specifics of both our in-house and travel basketball teams.
In-House Basketball:
The goal of in-house basketball is for participants to practice and advance on the fundamental skills required to play the game of basketball.
Grades K-2:
As a beginner basketball player, our in-house league is the perfect opportunity for younger players to gain some basic skills and drills. The K-2 practices are designed to learn the basics of handling a basketball and learning how to play with other team mates on the court.
K-2 Schedule Information:
Teams will meet 1 day each week for a 45 minute practice. Specific schedule to be announced once coaches have been established.
Grades 3-6:
The competition level is vastly different during the in-house season compared to the travel team. Our in-house teams focus more on practice and skills and drills, as opposed to playing competitive games. This philosophy encourages participants to focus on their pre-existing skills and develop more skills to utilize in future in-house seasons, or during the travel team season.
Schedule Information:
The teams usually split into two-four teams per age group: 3/4 girls & boys and 5/6 girls & boys. The specific number of teams is dependent on the number of registrants and each team will practice 2-3 nights per week. A specific schedule will be produced by Parks and Recreation prior to the start date of the season.
[Please note: Parks and Recreation is in charge of facilitating the gym times with the school, but whether a coach utilizes their practice time or chooses to cancel, is up to the coach.]
Travel Team Basketball:
(Grades 3-6)
The goal of the travel team is for participants to utilize the skills they learned during the in-house season in a more competitive season. The travel team season is a larger commitment compared to in-house and does require the athletes to travel at least two weekends a month, not including some away games that may happen during the week.

Location: Mildred C. Lakeway Elementary School (325 Union St. Littleton, NH 03561)
Grades: for children in Kindergarten through 6th Grade
Registration Fee:
- Youth In-House: $35/athlete
- Youth Travel: $50/athlete
- Youth In House & Travel Bundle: $75/athlete
HOW TO REGISTER- Please be sure to follow all the instructions carefully:
- Log in to your MyRec account and complete the PRE-REGISTRATION process.
- Go to the bottom of this page and click "Youth Basketball Registration Form" AND "Youth Basketball Policies & Code of Conduct" under Forms and Files.
- Once opened, download and save the forms. Then, from there you may either open it with Adobe and fill them out electronically, or you may print and fill out the documents manually.
- Forms can be submitted via email to (ktowle@littletonnh.gov) or dropped off in the black drop box outside of the Littleton Opera House (the black drop box is to the right of the double doors that face the parking lot.) The document must be signed, either using Adobe online or physically signed, prior to turning it in, no typed font signature accepted, as this is a legally binding consent to attend our programs.
- After your forms are received and reviewed, the registration will be manually finalized by department staff and your account will be invoiced.
- Once invoiced, you may log into your MyRec account to pay the balance. If paying by check or cash, please place in a SEALED envelope labeled Parks & Rec and drop off at the Opera House Drop Box. The sealed envelope needs to contain the payment AND a note with the name of your child/children and what program they are attending; without this information, we can not process payments.

In-house registration modified: registrations after this date do not guarantee a t-shirt
